Philosophy
LVCNS seeks to provide a comprehensive early childhood education in an atmosphere of Christian love and caring in which a child can develop intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
At LVCNS:
- Each child is helped to love him/herself and to develop a positive self-image.
- Each child is encouraged to develop a love for others, for the world and for learning.
- The staff is loving and caring. They value young children and want to contribute to the future through their work in the field of early childhood education.
- The School together with the Church works in partnership with the parents to provide Christian education.
- The School encourages and provides opportunities for parents to participate in their child’s education.
Every child is a precious gift from God therefore admission to our school will not be based on faith, gender, race or color. Children with disabilities or special medical conditions, including life-threatening allergies, may be admitted to the school based on our ability to meet their specific needs.

Program and Curriculum
We follow a developmentally appropriate curriculum. This means the program uses knowledge about appropriate behaviors, activities and materials for a specific age group (age appropriateness) as well as knowledge about the individual child’s growth pattern, strengths, limitations, interests and experience (individual appropriateness) to build the learning environment. Activities and process – not product – are stressed.
Our program is planned to make the adjustment from the home environment to the school setting as easy and happy as possible. A wide variety of daily activities are planned. These activities focus on large and small muscle development; language development and enhancement; art activities; children’s literature; social studies; science; math; and music. We attend monthly Chapel with Pastor Peter teaching an age appropriate lesson for the children to grow in love of God.

School Hours: Our normal school hours are as follows:
AM Session 8:45am - 11:15am
Lunch Bunch 11:15am - 12:15pm
Extended Day 11:15am - 2:45pm

Lunch Bunch
Each day, LVCNS children may bring a lunch from home and enjoy the company of their friends under the supervision of two LVCNS Lunch Bunch Teachers. Lunch Bunch is held in the Small Courtyard Room from 11:15am until 12:15pm.
No nuts, peanuts, peanut butter, peanut product or food snacks that contain peanuts.
The AM children may stay until 12:15 when they can be picked-up to go home.
The PM children may arrive at 11:05am for lunch and they will be accompanied to their afternoon class at 12:15pm.
With the Lunch Bunch Teachers, the children wash their hands, set their place at the table and share their company with new and old friends while enjoying lunch. Toys, games and play complete the time.
Call the office to make reservations. An additional fee applies.
Extended Day
Extended Day is offered every afternoon until 2:45pm. The children start their time with Lunch Bunch. Then instead of going home or going to class, they have an afternoon of friends, play, creativity, story, games, outside or Big Room and snack in a relaxing, comfortable environment safely supervised and shared with the two Extended Day Teachers.
Because Extended Day is offered every day, your child can attend on a day that he/she does not attend class. If your child comes to school on MWF and you need to make a doctor appointment on Tuesday, you can do that and your child can be here in a familiar, comfortable, safe place at LVCNS from 11:05am until 2:45pm.
If your child is attending LVCNS am thru pm on any day, please send your child with a small rug or blanket so that they might comfortably rest if they feel the need.
Call the office to make reservations. In order to cancel your reservation, you must provide the office with 24 hours notice or you will be billed for that day.
Lunch Bunch and Extended Day are not offered on Christmas Program Days, Land-of-Make Believe Day and End-of-Year Program Days.
